Western Hotel Location in Galway City Centre

The Western hotel is in a fantastic central location in Galway city centre, on Prospect hill which is very close to Eyre Square, within easy reach of all attractions, shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants, Galway train and bus station and other amenities. There is free on site valet car park available for hotel guests.

The Western Hotel offers free underground Valet Car Park for all guests.  Guests checking into CityPoint Apartments are also asked to arrive for their check -in to The Western Hotel. They will be given further instructions at reception.

Directions to Hotel’s short term underground parking:

Arriving from any direction, follow the signs to the City Centre and Eyre Square. Once on Eyre Square, take the road exiting the square at the top right-hand corner at Richardson’s Pub. Proceed onwards on the left lane. Pass TK Maxx, Galway City Council building and The Western Hotel and take the first turn left, then left again into St. Bridget’s Place. Our underground car park is on the left, down the ramp.

By train or bus

Bus Eireann and Citylink offer regular daily bus and coach services to Galway from cities and towns throughout Ireland.

Galway’s train and bus stations are located in the city centre adjacent to each other 5 minutes walk from the Western Hotel. On exiting the station take a left heading towards Eyre Square. Walk to the right of the square passing O’Connell’s bar. At the corner of Richardson’s pub take a right onto Prospect Hill. The Western Hotel is clearly visible from here on your left hand side.

By air

Visit Aer Lingus or Ryanair to book your tickets to and from the West of Ireland airports (Shannon and Knock) or Dublin or Belfast.
