The Western Restaurant is an integral part of The Western Hotel – family run business well established in the Galway City Centre. This is a great opportunity to join a standard driven team and if you are passionate about food – also to progress your career in this area.
We believe in producing all our food on site using only the very best ingredients and serving only fresh and high standard products.
We are looking for passionate, deeply committed and ambitious individuals who want to learn new techniques and challenge themselves.
You are the right person if you are a mature person wanting to learn new things and;
- have at least three years experience, with minimum pastry knowledge
- have excellent hygiene and attention to detail
- have HACCP course
- are flexible
- have spoken and written English.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To assist in the set up and organisation of the workstations.
To be fully aware of HACCP and follow the procedures detailed within.
Helping the sous chef and head chef to prepare, cook and present dishes from all menus according to recipes and cooking standards.
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
